Château Beauferan White Wine
Learn more
Recently purchased by the Cheylan family, Château Beauferan is located on the nearby hills of Velaux. Abandoned for years, the Beauferan estate, its winery, its cellar, and its vineyard were ready to be recalled to life. Realizing the estate’s fabulous potential, Robert, Noële, Christine, and Pascal Cheylan purchased the abandoned estate in 2014 and began restoration of the vineyard immediately. After several years of work without a sufficient harvest, the estate now produces high quality grapes each year.
Until the renovation of the Château Beauferan cellar is complete, the grapes will continue to be vinified in the cellars of the Château Virant.
The objective of the Cheylan family is to restore this estate and return nobility to the name Château Beauferan.
The Château Beauferan White is one of the best wines the Cheylan family has to offer. Its characteristic grape varieties, Rolle and Ugni, give it buttery, vanilla notes while also presenting a refreshing acidity. This wine ferments in the ancestral 17th century cellar of Château Virant, giving it a slightly woody aroma. Served chilled, its powerful, complex palate will please the finest gourmets.
Pairings
This wine is ideal with aperitifs, fish, seafood, vegetable dishes, and ripened French PDO cheeses. We also suggest trying it with foie gras-it promises to deliver a new flavor experience.
